I’ve had a few messages about the dashboard… So, I thought I’d do a quick post about the progress.

The dashboard could be thought of in three parts. The data – making sure data is available and consistent (this is why Feature: primer menu) , the management – how do I add, remove, sort cards, etc. And the dashboard cards themselves, i.e. the data.

The first two parts are done. Well, since you are seeing that sneaky preview, in fact a lot more is done. Data consistency and dashboard management framework is completed, tested and quietly sitting there in the background waiting for the actual cards…

Currently, I have some initial ideas for cards (including user requested), which I am hoping will be deployed some time next week. A few cards representing stock, some statistics, equipment, etc. I think to start with, done is better than perfect. I am aiming to deploy changes next week and then go from there.

Beyond that I have a few features I want to push out first and come back to the dashboard. Specifically adding more complex statistics and relying on users to submit card requests.

So… There you have, the last mile of the dashboard.
